    Objective: A company's Divisional President aimed to improve production levels, deploy best practices and execute on-shore and off-shore projects in West Africa.

    Approach: Proudfoot executed a project to align the division with the President's objectives. The team formalized processes, introduced key performance indicators, established standard service level agreements, and clarified roles and responsibilities for management and supervisory levels. A comprehensive coaching and training approach helped to ensure the changes took root in the organization.

    Results: The project delivered benefits in all areas of the business. Throughput was stabilized and increased by 5 to 31%, equipment availability improved between 8 and 24%, advancement efficiency increased  approximately 9%, overall productivity improved between 18 and 21% and overtime lowered by 73%.
    Objective: The CEO was concerned about the company's maintenance efforts. The excessive turnaround time for equipment repairs combined with an increasing load of backlog work was costing the company money. Inadequate scheduling also meant that only about 38% of heavy equipment available was used at any one time.

    Approach: Proudfoot conducted behavioral training to instill a sense of urgency and a proactive mindset. Existing management protocols were upgraded to increase visibility and reaction capabilities, and new resources were developed to improve scheduling and better utilize equipment.

    Results: The project's new approach to scheduling allowed the company to reduce the number of light vehicles from over 280 to 193, significantly reducing the amount of rental costs per year. Improved planning, prioritization and follow-up procedures reduced backlogs by 50% and improved productivity by 50%.

    Objective: The client's disjointed operations were affecting productivity and increasing costs. The CEO needed to reassure employees that management was capable of making necessary changes.

    Approach: Proudfoot introduced  structure and discipline to create a 'project focused' business. The team installed efficient management protocols, such as weekly meetings and more focused/structured Front End processes. The organizational culture changed from laissez-faire to a more objective-driven organization.

    Results: The project allowed the company to reduce headcount by 36% through hiring avoidance, transfers to fill vacancies and targeted outsourcing. The company also was able to reduce overtime as well as inventory levels.
