    Objective: A plastic manufacturer aimed to improve its efficiency and production across six plants. The manufacturer partnered with Proudfoot to focus on throughput, OEE, yield, margin profitability of orders, headcount, procurement and continuous process improvement.

    Approach: Proudfoot developed a new set of management protocols to be utilized in each plant. The new approach included a sales order approval process to improve efficiency, new procurement practices, more flexible interdepartmental interactions and a personnel reorganization.

    Results: The project helped to improve yield, increase throughput and reduce purchasing costs, ultimately delivering $60 million in annualized recurring benefits.
    Objective: A service organization was experiencing sporadic earnings across its operations and the CEO needed help in delivering consistent results. The company partnered with Proudfoot to undertake a project aimed at improving productivity, quality of service and non-core revenues, while not disrupting a heavily unionized environment.

    Approach: The project introduced new management protocols to better control resources and drive improved customer service. A common planning initiative was established to improve forecasting and staffing, and operating standards were overhauled across all operations to eliminate inefficiencies. In spite of the highly unionized environment, Proudfoot’s approach secured employee acceptance of the changes that needed to be made. 

    Results: The project was able to stabilize earnings in all facets of its operations. The new approach was piloted at first and then rolled out to select client locations.
