    Objective: Market pressures forced one of the leading computer manufacturers in the US to become more efficient in developing its products; more specifically, it had to be more focused on improving its time-to-market performance. The CEO acknowledged they were challenged by the task of project and resource management. As a result, they were unable to adequately estimate work-to-time relationships or identify critical paths for projects.

    Approach: Behavior models for all levels from senior management to engineering were developed.  Over 2,600 training hours were delivered during the project including 1,270 hours done on the floor. Sessions were delivered on active management, behaviors, sustainability and process change. The team also installed service level agreements to improve alignment between hardware, software and manufacturing.

    Results: The team improved ability to forecast work, reducing unplanned activities, and improved resource utilization. Within six months, these efforts produced a 25% productivity improvement.
    Objective: The CEO was experiencing delays on a critical project due to increasing customer demand as well as the introduction of new materials which were negatively impacting the on-time delivery rate. With an insufficient number of engineers available in the labor market, the CEO felt the only way to get back on track was to improve the productivity of the existing work force and processes. 

    Approach: Proudfoot improved the existing management systems by providing critical tools to plan, manage and control projects. Proudfoot spent time with the organization focusing on team building and coaching sessions in order to create better focus and help address ineffective communication strategies and excessive rework. 

    Results: Proudfoot helped the company improve the company’s productivity by 25% and dramatically increased the on-time delivery rate.
    Objective: A chief executive needed to transform his operation by increasing cash flow and improving project lead-times while changing organizational mindsets to achieve sustainability of these initiatives.

    Approach: The Proudfoot team analyzed the company’s tasks and deadlines and set objectives. Based on this review, the team shortened management’s reaction time to any plan deviation. The team installed planning processes that were redesigned to ensure projects were of manageable size and were aligned with organization standards. To ensure the changes took root, Proudfoot rolled out multiple training programs to train people on how to coach their own teams to foster ongoing sustainability.

    Results: The project achieved a cost and lead time reduction of 20% as well as a productivity improvement of 20%.
